Google goes Radio and Yahoo goes newspaper!!
Recently Google bought DoubleClick an online advertising company for $3.1billion so that it gets boost in online advertising. But now Google has made another move by signing a multiyear deal with Clear Channel Radio which allows Google to sell radio advertisements on more than 675 Clear Channel’s AM/FM stations.
In this agreement b/w Google and Clear Channel the Google Audio Ads advertisers will be able to reach specific audience at specific times in targeted areas. In this both Google and Clear Channel win because Clear Channel also gets access to new kind of advertisers and existing advertisers get a new option.
Also the agreement complements an existing online advertising partnership in which Google provides text ads to Clear Channel’s radio-station Web sites through the company’s Online Music & Radio Unit.
On the very same day when Google announced about its deal with Clear Channel Yahoo has made a deal with consortium of 12 newspaper companies, enabling the Web portal and search vendor to share and earn online advertising revenue with them.
Yahoo is going to gain more online search sales by placing a customized search toolbar on the participating newspaper sites, giving it the ability to reach advertisers in local markets it otherwise might not have access to.
In turn, newspapers will distribute their content on Yahoo’s news and other portals, and be able to place more targeted advertising online through Yahoo’s graphical advertising technology.
Yesterday we saw about battle between Adobe and Microsoft. And today advertising battle between Google and Yahoo.
May the Best Man win ![]()
