Spyware is computer software that collects personal information about users without their informed consent.

Spywares are of many types. Some install random toolbar in internet explorer and display ads. Some display targeted pop-ups and ads but mostly they steal personal data. Another type of spyware is one that displays itself as an anti-spyware program, they display pop-up messages from system tray that you are massively infected with spywares and the only way to get rid of it is by purchasing the full version of anti-spyware program. SpyLocked is also known as SpywareLocked, which is a rogue software that seeks to trick the user into purchasing its full rogue version. SpyLocked will issue fake security messages alleging that the user’s computer is infected with malicious spyware threats.

How to Know if You are Infected:

Another indication of infection is constant pop-ups from windows security center. These are not genuine.
